Castle Biosciences Inc. is growing, and we are looking to hire an IT, Network Engineer II working from our Friendswood, TX office location, with a start date before August 7, 2025.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Network Engineer II,
Network Engineer II plays a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing traditional and cloud-based network infrastructure to ensure security, reliability, and optimal performance. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams.
The individual in this role will spend the majority of their time on network responsibilities, including network design, support, and leading related projects. Network Engineer responsibilities will include offboarding, managing the queue, and providing security support.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field OR equivalent work experience..
- Experience: 4+ years in enterprise network design, engineering, and operations.
- Technical Expertise:
- Hands-on experience with SD-WAN solutions, IPSec tunnels, VPN configuration, hybrid cloud networking, and greenfield deployments.
- Expertise in Wi-Fi deployments, Wi-Fi site mapping, wireless troubleshooting, switch/router configurations, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), and cloud networking technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Strong knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, SIEM platforms, endpoint protection, and web security gateways.

SCHEDULE
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (onsite). Some after-hours work may be required.
