The IT Project Manager will lead and support multiple Agile software development teams across a portfolio of IT initiatives for mission critical set of financial business applications for a federal government agency. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in program-level coordination, Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban), stakeholder communication, risk management, and driving value delivery. They will work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, and cross-functional stakeholders to align teams with business objectives, track progress, and facilitate Agile best practices across the organization. Responsibilities include:
- Plan and coordinate multiple projects with different timelines and manage an integrated project schedule
- Provide leadership in Agile practices, ensuring consistency and maturity across teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define program roadmap, KPIs, and strategic initiatives
- Plan upcoming work and manage resource assignments to accomplish the work
- Facilitate recurring status meetings with stakeholders
- Track and manage interdependencies, risks, and cross-team issues
- Develop and facilitate lessons learned
- Development and oversight of updated deliverables, knowledge articles and information sharing across teams.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards, policies, and governance.
The projected compensation range for this position is $150K - $170K annualized (USD). The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal pay equity, location, contract-specific affordability and other organizational requirements.
Required Skills- 15 years of IT experience, with at least 8 years of experience operating in a management role in the federal government
- Proven experience managing multiple Agile development teams
- Experience managing IT infrastructure and modernization projects
- In-depth understanding and knowledge of project management practices
- Proven ability to adapt work and manage resources to achieve stated goals
- Experience managing projects involving Microsoft technologies, including Windows OS, SQL and SQL Server, and .NET based applications
- Experience migrating systems and applications to the cloud (AWS preferrable)
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and manage customer expectations
- Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict within the project team
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in risk management and dependency tracking
- Must be a US Citizen
Desirable Skills
- Experience supporting a regulatory agency, preferably in banking
- Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Relevant management certifications, such PMP and CSM
Salary range
- $150,000 - $170,000
