The IT Project Manager will assume a hands-on role in the planning, oversight, and leadership of projects focused on implementing Microsoft solutions for mission-critical tools and applications. The PM will actively plan and manage project tasks and provide oversight to delivery, managing risks, schedule, scope, and communications. Specific tasks and responsibilities include:
- Management and coordination of Agile application development teams
- Work directly with senior level business owners to drive future vision and ensure requirements are understood and well documented
- Daily interaction with customer IT PMs and business Product Owners, including senior management
- Take a hands-on role to support analysis, design, and testing activities, as needed
- Develop and present weekly and monthly status reports
- Facilitate weekly and monthly status meetings
- Develop and maintain project schedules
- Actively identify and manage issues and risks
- Develop and facilitate lessons learned
- Track and manage to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Develop and support ongoing updates to project management documentation
- Development and execution of communication management strategy and corresponding plan
The projected compensation range for this position is $140K - $160K annualized (USD). The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal pay equity, location, contract-specific affordability and other organizational requirements.
Required Skills- Experience managing Federal government projects
- Certification as a PMP and Certified Scrum Master
- At least 10 years of IT systems development experience, with at least 6 years of experience operating in a management role
- In-depth understanding and experience of project management practices and techniques in an IT systems development environment
- Experience leading IT development teams leveraging Agile methodologies
- Strong experience planning and managing Agile Sprint cycles using tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps
- Experience working in Microsoft environments, including working knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite and related tools (e.g., SharePoint Online, Power Platform, Purview, etc.)
- Proven ability to plan work and manage resources to achieve stated project goals and objectives
- Working understanding and experience in the following management areas -- Scope, Schedule, Quality, Communications, Budget, Issues, and Risk management
- Experience managing projects involving Microsoft technologies, preferably enterprise platform tools and cloud-based solutions
- Proven ability to collaborate and negotiate with customers
- Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict within the project team

- Certified Scrum Master
- Experience using Earned Value to manage project performance
- Experience using ITIL Framework
- Experience using Six Sigma DMAIC model for continuous improvements
Salary range
- $140,000 - $160,000 per year
