Castle Biosciences Inc. is growing, and we are looking to hire a full-time IT, Software Quality Assurance Engineer, working from the office in our Phoenix, AZ location, with a start date before July 24, 2025.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN IT, Software Quality Assurance Engineer,
This role involves daily morning stand-ups to review bugs and track the progress of ongoing projects. Key responsibilities include regression testing, bug tracking, and writing test cases to support both development efforts and production stability. Manual testing is also performed to ensure the quality and reliability of scripts. Regular communication with stakeholders and developers is essential for discussing enhancements and aligning on project goals. A significant portion of time will be dedicated to regression testing in support of production. Additionally, the role includes writing automated test scripts to streamline future testing efforts and collaborating closely with the development team on new projects and releases.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in test automation and testing frameworks, along with hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing. They should also have at least five years of experience working in a quality engineering environment.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related experience in lieu of education
- Intermediate understanding of various computer software and hardware
- 3-5 years of experience in test automation and testing frameworks
- Proficient in Java
- Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing

SCHEDULE/TRAVEL
- Monday-Friday, In-office 5 days a week from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, working from the Phoenix, AZ office.
- Travel as needed but not mandatory to complete specific projects
