Job Description and Requirements

Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union is currently searching for an experienced and talented IT Systems Engineer to join our amazing IT Branch Technology Support team!

The IT Systems Engineer will have the ability to work a hybrid schedule (remote/onsite) after a period of training (time frame may vary). Training will take place at the RBFCU Administrative Service Center: 1 Ikea-RBFCU Pkwy, Live Oak, Texas 78233. All applicants must reside within the state of Texas and have the capability of performing all of the work from their home in Texas.

To successfully work from home, employees must have access to a minimum internet connection as noted by RBFCU.

  • Must have a reliable home internet provider and the ability to hard wire a connection directly to modem (Ethernet cable provided).
  • Must be able to provide a workspaces at home that is safe, suitable for work, and within a distraction free environment

Working under limited supervision, the IT Systems Engineer provides level 3 technical support and customer service for our Automated Teller Machine (ATM), Enhanced Teller Machine (ETM), Teller Cash Recycler (TCR), Electronic Vault Attendant (EVA), and Verifast Tablet product environments.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Consult with users via all available communications channels to provide level 3 technical support for Branch ATM, ETM, TCR, Electronic Vault Attendant and Verifast Tablet environments to ensure maximum availability and acceptable levels of performance and functionality.
  • Provide 24X7 on call support for member facing systems as necessary.
  • Serve as site/ vendor coordinator for the installation and configuration of new or supported equipment/software.
  • Coordinate, engage, and monitor vendor support efforts.
  • Train and mentor IT Branch Support Technicians.
  • Document hardware/software installation processes.
  • Validate daily procedures and evaluate documentation enhancements for internal and external processes.
  • Assist with negotiation and coordination of contracts for new equipment, upgrades, maintenance, etc. including contract renewals.
  • Assist with evaluation of near and long-term technology implementation and product assessments.
  • Advise on and ensure network connectivity for new equipment and troubleshoot communication problems and coordinate with internal teams when necessary.
  • Advise on and evaluate software patches and firmware updates for supported equipment/software.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one year ATM and/or Cash Recycler experience in a product system engineering capacity
  • Strong mechanical engineering skills
  • Understanding of ISO message formats, message protocols, data encryption standards, and TCP/IP networking

Preferred:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent of four years of work-related experience in lieu of degree
