Overview
This position requires a professional who has 4+ years of experience in IT. Infrastructure role, on site at Charles City.
Responsibilities
- System Maintenance: Installing, configuring, and upgrading servers (e.g., Windows/Linux), hardware, and software applications.
- Network Administration: Managing local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs) to maintain connectivity and security
- Security & User Management: Managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights. Primary focus in ADUC/Azure EntraID.
- Backup & Recovery: Performing regular backups of network data and ensuring disaster recovery processes are in place. VEEAM experience is a plus!
- Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving system errors, hardware failures, and software issues, providing tier-three support.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitoring system performance, optimizing efficiency, and ensuring uptime.
- Automation: Using scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Power Automate) to automate routine tasks.
Qualifications / Skills
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), networking protocols (TCP/IP), and domain services.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve complex hardware/software issues under pressure.
- Communication: Providing clear technical support to employees and documenting procedures.
- Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent years in hands-on experience, along with certifications like CompTIA Server+, MCSA, or RHCSA.

Qualifications
- Experience in administering controlled substances or products with strict regulatory guidelines preferred. Specific DEA regulatory experience is highly beneficial
- 4-year degree, preferably in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or Engineering
