Fortis Native Group LLC is interviewing for Part-time Janitor positions for our new FAA contract in the Santa Barbara area. You will be required to travel between 2-3 sites using your personal vehicle (you will be compensated for mileage). The Janitor will support Fortis Native Group and will report to the project manager. This position would be 100% onsite. **Please note that the clearance process with the FAA often takes 4-6 weeks. Custodian Job Duties

• Clean, sanitize, and maintain bathrooms using specific procedures and products.
• Dust, polish, and wipe furniture.
• Empty and wash garbage bins and deal with recycling procedures when necessary.
• Help when setting facilities for meetings, events, or classrooms.
• Properly use and maintain power equipment and tools to maintain safety.
• Secure building and doors when they are not in use.
• Follow instructions regarding chemical use and safety hazards in the workplace

Requirements

• Must pass a stringent Federal Background Check
• Must be able to perform tasks such as moving, carrying, and storing items.
• Must be able to walk, stand, kneel, reach, etc. as required for cleaning.
• Must be able to comprehend and follow instructions.
• Must be able to work with a team.
• Must be able to follow instructions.
• Must be reliable and willing to perform assigned daily tasks.
• Must have reliable transportation and a Driver License.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Wage: $18.06 an hour plus$5.09 per hour (up to 40 hours a week) Health and Welfare. (Health and Welfare dollars are used to pay for any benefits. If no benefits are elected, those monies go to your paycheck resulting in an effective wage of $23.15 an hour) The ability to follow directions is vital to this position; the chosen applicant must be able to comprehend the requirements of the position and to collaborate either with co-workers or the Leadership Team when necessary. The Custodian's job is physically demanding due to the need to move, carry and store various items and clean, dust, and wipe rooms full of furniture as well as floors and carpets.
