Position Overview:
ANSER is seeking a Knowledge Management / Data Governance Analyst to support the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (ODASW(CBRND)). In this role you will support enterprise data governance, knowledge management, and data analytics initiatives that enable informed decision-making across Department of War (DoW) research, development, acquisition, sustainment, and modernization efforts. You will work as part of a team providing analytical support, process improvement, and data management solutions to senior defense stakeholders.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of standardized enterprise data management processes and governance frameworks.
- Develop and maintain data cataloging structures, metadata standards, and access control procedures for federated data platforms.
- Conduct special studies and analyses related to programmatic, technical, administrative, and management issues.
- Prepare findings, recommendations, executive summaries, and reports for leadership review and open distribution.
- Support decision events by analyzing technical data, meeting outputs, and stakeholder requirements.
- Develop data visualizations and decision support products to support DoW modernization and acquisition initiatives.
- Collaborate with government and contractor stakeholders to improve knowledge management and information sharing processes.
- Support the management and organization of enterprise knowledge repositories and collaboration platforms.
- Utilize Microsoft 365 collaboration tools including Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint to support communication and workflow management.
- Assist with process automation and workflow improvement initiatives using Microsoft low-code solutions and related technologies.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Bachelors degree in Information Systems Management, Library Sciences, Archivist, Computer Science, Statistics, Systems Administration, or similar.
- 6+ years of experience supporting data governance, knowledge management, data analytics, or enterprise data management initiatives.
- Experience using Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Experience working with or supporting Microsoft low-code platforms and workflow automation tools.
- Experience briefing, coordinating with, and supporting General Officer, Flag Officer, or Senior Executive Service (SES)-level personnel.
- Foundational knowledge of data governance concepts including data ontologies, taxonomies, metadata management, and data cataloging standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
- Experience using Microsoft PowerApps and Power Automate.
- Experience with data visualization and decision support platforms.
- Familiarity with ADVANA, QLIK, or Palantir Maven Smart System.
- Experience supporting process automation initiatives, Azure environments, or Department of Defense agentic artificial intelligence workflows.
- Experience supporting chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear defense programs or initiatives.
- Experience supporting enterprise data management efforts within the Department of War environment.
