Castle Biosciences Inc. is growing, and we are looking to hire a Laboratory Liaison Specialist, GI working from our laboratory in Pittsburgh, PA @ Nova Place location, with a start date on or before September 1, 2025.

Salary Range:$65,000 - $85,000. Final salary based on experience and education levels.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Laboratory Liaison Specialist, GI
As a key member of the laboratory operations team, this role supports strong partnerships with GI pathology laboratory customers. Acting as a subject matter expert in pathology workflows, the position serves as a liaison between external labs and internal teams to ensure clear communication, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include investigating sample-related concerns-especially those involving fixation, transport, grossing, and staining-and leading educational efforts on anatomic pathology processes. This role may require travel to external sites for assessments and process improvements. When not in the field, the position assists with routine histology tasks such as microtomy, staining, and slide preparation.
REQUIREMENTS
- Histologists: Bachelor's degree in life science or healthcare-related field; HT/HTL (ASCP) certification required, with on-going CMP maintenance.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a histopathology-related position.
- Strong understanding of histology processes and preanalytical variables affecting sample quality.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly to external laboratory sites.

SCHEDULE/TRAVEL
- Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM when on-site; travel hours will vary based on the schedule and location of the site being visited.
