Physical Requirements

Shift
Monday – Friday, Day Shift; primarily 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (40 hrs/wk); other hours/schedule as needed.
Job Summary
The Laboratory Aide provides essential support to the dental clinics by coordinating and managing dental lab cases, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This role is responsible for the timely pick-up, delivery, and tracking of lab cases while verifying patient identifiers and order accuracy within the EPIC system. The Laboratory Aide also maintains supply ordering records, communicates with team members and providers, and supports efficient workflow by keeping lab areas clean, stocked, and compliant with safety protocols.
In addition to technical responsibilities, the position emphasizes strong communication and customer service skills, requiring respectful interaction with patients, providers, faculty, staff, and students. The aide upholds compliance standards, completes competency and safety training, and models teamwork by assisting in training new staff. This role requires independence, attention to detail, and a consistent focus on patient care, service excellence, and adherence to hospital and dental laboratory policies.
