Physical Requirements

The position requires periods of standing and sitting for stretches of time. It also requires light lifting of objects up to 10 lbs.



Shift

Second Shift, 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm. Monday – Friday and rotating weekends.



Job Summary

The Laboratory Technologist Lead manages workflow and provides technical support for second and third shift. This position is primarily responsible for processing specimens, specimen triage, order processing, rapid and stat testing, gram staining and reporting positive blood cultures, performing multiplex PCR testing and bacterial culture reading and interpretation, inclusive of monitoring supply levels and monitoring/maintaining the microbiology automation system.

Preferred Education/Experience

A Bachelor’s degree in Medical Lab Science or Microbiology with a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience preferred.
