The University of Pittsburgh School Of Medicine Division of Rheumatology is seeking to hire a Laboratory Research Technician II. Responsibilities will include patient-facing activities, registry management, data entry, and statistical analysis. Previous experience in the techniques listed, post B.S. degree, is desirable


Job Summary

Performs a variety of laboratory experiments and procedures. Prepares specimens. Oversees supply management. Operates and properly maintains equipment.


Essential Functions

Data entry, patient interviews and consenting, registry management. Statistical analysis of clinical data. Peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) purification from human blood samples. Maintenance of primary cell culture and experiments related to leukocyte phenotype and function.


Physical Effort

must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
