Position Summary: We are seeking an energetic, hands-on leader to supervise an exceptional team of laboratory professionals at our American Fork location. This role is ideal for someone who can balance hard work with a positive, engaging culture—while maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance and patient-focused care. The Laboratory Supervisor is a working supervisor who will oversee all aspects of laboratory operations, including pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic workflows. This position requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement. The supervisor plays a key role in preserving our organization’s reputation for friendly, competent, and efficient laboratory services while fostering strong relationships with providers and staff.

Essential Job Functions: • Maintain appropriate staffing levels by recruiting, onboarding, training, and mentoring technical staff. • Perform laboratory testing and specimen collection as needed. • Oversee daily laboratory operations to ensure efficient workflow and staffing utilization. • Monitor quality control, testing performance, and required preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment. • Evaluate laboratory procedures and practices, recommending improvements to enhance quality and efficiency. • Advise the Laboratory Director regarding equipment needs and operational improvements. • Manage laboratory inventory and supplies. • Ensure compliance with all applicable CLIA and OSHA regulations. • Prepare for and support laboratory inspections and audits. • Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, collaboration, and open communication. • Work closely with the Laboratory Services Director to deliver high-quality laboratory services.

Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a chemical, physical, or biological science. • Registered Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist (ASCP) or equivalent. o Minimum of two (2) years of clinical laboratory experience in CLIA moderate or high complexity testing, including: Routine Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, General Immunology, Endocrinology • Working knowledge of CLIA and OSHA laboratory regulations.

Hours: • Full-time salary position, 40-hour work week. • Shift hours may vary based on departmental needs. • Laboratory hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
