Required License/Registration/CertificationNonePhysical RequirementsSitting for long periods of time, exposure to experimental animals, tissues, and supplies.ShiftMonday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (40hrs/wk)Job SummaryThe Spinal Cord and Brain Injury Research Center is seeking a Laboratory Technician.Responsibilities include but not limited to routine bench work, including preparation of solutions and pipetting; Processing tissue samples, including animal perfusion, tissue collection, and tissue cutting; Histological and immunohistochemical staining; Microscopic imaging: bright field, fluorescence, confocal imaging; Basic data analysis and data entry.
The position will also include ordering and tracking lab supplies, mouse colony maintenance and husbandry and assisting with animal procedures and postoperative care.Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesMS Windows, Microsoft OfficeDoes this position have supervisory responsibilities?
