Standing and sitting at computer terminals and laboratory bench completing repetitive tasks for extensive periods of time. Continuous working with materials requiring personal protective equipment in accord with EH&S policy.ShiftPrimarily Days Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (some evenings and weekends are possible due to experimentation)Job SummaryThe laboratory of Dr. Timothy McClintock is looking for a Laboratory Technician to contribute to research on the neurobiology of the sense of smell, especially effects of interactions between odor molecules on odor detection and odor perception in humans, and to a lesser extent in mice.

Responsibilities include organizing and administering odor perception tests, processing data, and performing data visualization using computational tools. Duties also include ordering lab supplies, and maintaining a small mouse colony.Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesFamiliarity with personal computers and Microsoft Office. Some knowledge of lab skills like pipetting, making solutions and dilutions of solutions. Some coding experience desired but not required.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
