This position is a 10-month appointment with an anticipated Distribution of Effort of about 90% Teaching and Advising, and 10% Service/Professional Development which will be reviewed annually. We anticipate a start date of August 1, 2026 but could potentially start sooner. This posting will remain open until filled.
This position, onsite and based in Lexington, KY, will assist and resource the Undergraduate BSN program within the College of Nursing. This position will focus on teaching human anatomy and related foundational content to undergraduate nursing students. The Lecturer’s didactic instruction will facilitate student learning through lectures, active learning strategies, and integration of anatomical knowledge with clinical application.
Additional responsibilities include mentoring students, participation in course and curriculum development, and service on college committees. Ideal applicants will have experience teaching human anatomy, physiology, or related foundational sciences to undergraduate health professions or nursing students and the ability to connect anatomical concepts to clinical reasoning and patient care.
The required education and experience includes a master’s degree in Nursing, Anatomy, Physiology, Biological Sciences, or a closely related field required. Doctorate (PhD, DNP, or related terminal degree) is preferred. A minimum of two years of relevant teaching or clinical experience within the last five years required.
