Overview

Schedule:
  • Monday–Thursday: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Friday: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
  • Off: Saturday & Sunday
At Velociti Services, the Light Maintenance Technician & Custodial is a frontline team member responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and basic functionality of assigned client facilities. This role combines standard custodial/janitorial duties, light maintenance tasks, and pressure washing responsibilities to ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for employees, guests, and customers.This position requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to perform both cleaning and basic repair tasks within established guidelines.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:Custodial / Janitorial Duties
  • Sweep, mop, and maintain floors throughout facility
  • Vacuum carpets and clean edges/trim areas
  • Dust and wipe surfaces, furniture, and fixtures
  • Clean and stock restrooms and breakrooms
  • Empty trash and transport to designated disposal areas
  • Clean windows and glass surfaces (interior and accessible areas)
  • Maintain overall cleanliness of assigned areas
  • Follow cleaning schedules and complete assigned tasks
Light Maintenance Duties
  • Perform minor repairs using basic hand and power tools, including drills, screwdrivers, and other standard equipment
  • Perform basic painting and touch-up work on walls, trim, and surfaces as needed
  • Patch small wall damage such as holes, scuffs, and minor drywall repairs
  • Replace light bulbs and small fixtures (within 8 feet or using approved lift with proper safety equipment)
  • Assist with furniture repairs, including tightening, adjustments, and minor fixes
  • Replace door hardware such as handles and locks when needed
  • Support general upkeep of facility appearance and functionality
  • Report larger maintenance issues to supervisors or facility management
Pressure Washing Duties
  • Perform exterior pressure washing of sidewalks, entryways, building surfaces, and designated areas
  • Ensure safe operation of pressure washing equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness of exterior facility spaces
  • Follow all site-specific safety and environmental guidelines
Safety Requirements (Critical):
  • No work above 8 feet unless using approved lift provided by the property with proper safety harness in place
  • Follow all company and site-specific safety rules, policies, and procedures
  • Always use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Maintain safe working practices when using tools and equipment

Physical Requirements:
  • Lift up to 60 pounds
  • Stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch throughout the shift
  • Climb stairs multiple times per day
  • Perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods
Key Accountabilities:
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards across assigned areas
  • Complete custodial, maintenance, and pressure washing tasks efficiently and correctly
  • Support team operations and shift leads as needed
  • Follow all company procedures and maintain professional appearance and conduct
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through quality work and attention to detail
Key Areas of Collaboration:
  • Work closely with Cleaning Leads, Supervisors, and Facility Managers
  • Coordinate tasks with other team members and departments
  • Participate in team meetings and shift planning when required
  • Support a culture of safety, trust, and accountability


Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in property operations, facilities, or a customer-facing environment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain a consistent presence.
  • Comfortable using basic technology for reporting and communication.
  • Willingness to be outdoors and mobile throughout the entire shift.

Working Conditions:

  • This is an outdoor-only role. Must be able to work in all weather conditions year-round.
  • Requires walking, standing, and being on foot or in a cart for extended periods.
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
