Maintenance Site Lead-Founders HallUIW MissionPosition SummaryThe Maintenance Site Lead-Founders Hall is responsible for directly providing general maintenance services across multiple trades at assigned sites, coordinating higher-level assistance through Facilities management, and coordinating external maintenance services for assigned Facilities site. The Maintenance Site Lead-Founders Hall reports to the Director of Facilities.Essential FunctionsJob DutiesKnowledge Skills and Abilities• Must have good working knowledge of a variety of trades and respective equipment and tools.• Knowledgeable of hazards and procedures for safety measures in trade area(s) respective to site as well as general maintenance and shop safety.• Skilled at reading/interpreting building prints, schematics, and working drawings, as well as basic shop math applications related to respective trade systems.• Knowledgeable of pneumatics, hydraulics and pressures and general maintenance.• Ability to problem solve and show sound judgment.• Ability to communicate effectively with others; ability to express ideas effectively and concisely.• Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues, supervisory staff at all levels and UIW community to establish and maintain effective relationships.• Ability to work effectively in a service oriented environment and adjust to changing priorities.• Ability to work independently and in group/team settings.• Must be able to use applications on computer to include Microsoft Outlook-both calendar and send/receive emails.• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.• Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and NCAA.Required EducationHigh school diploma or its equivalent.Required Work ExperienceFour (4) years of progressively responsible maintenance coordination and/or leadership experience in a skilled trade.Preferred Qualifications• Experience supervising trades people.• Experience coordinating, scheduling, and managing maintenance services.Required Certifications, Licenses or RegistrationsValid driver license, must be at least 21 years of age, and have driving record insurable by UIW insurance carrier.Work HoursMon-Fri 8am to 5pm with extended hours as needed to meet departmental goals. May work weekends and/or holidays as needed for emergencies and upgrades.
