Job Summary

Under supervision of the Maintenance & Operations Supervisor, this position will assist the supervisor in the delegation of work to the M & O staff, perform repairs to buildings and equipment, and other duties as assigned.

Job Duties:

  • Duties will require skills and knowledge in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems, preventative maintenance techniques, basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and janitorial along with previous management experience.
  • Supervises work and maintains work progress, providing training and delegation of work to the M&O staff.
  • Serves as backup to M & O Supervisor.
  • Performs minor repairs associated with plumbing and fixtures.
  • Maintains major equipment such as tractors, moving equipment, and trucks.
  • Performs minor repairs to vans and other college vehicles.
  • Serves as liaison between M & O staff and Supervisor.
  • Orders supplies, keeps records of receiving, assists in maintaining equipment inventory.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED and six years of related experience or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED and six years of related experience, plus diploma in relevant vocational training.
