A valid driver's license issued by the State where the applicant resides and insurability as defined in UTS 157 may be required to perform the position's essential functions.Purpose of PositionProvide expert level technical knowledge and skills to maintain the campuses building envelops, sidewalks, roadways, interior spaces, and common areas.Essential FunctionsResponsible for maintenance and general repairs of campus buildings and infrastructure.Creates, prints, and closes work orders.Assists in estimating labor and material cost; reports the estimate to superior.Repairs and installs fencing throughout campus.Performs minor welding and soldering repairs and priming handrails and bicycle racks and performing other minor welding tasks.Inspects work of subordinates and assures quality.Inspects roofs, windows, walls, concrete, and drains for water leaks and perform repairs as needed.Maintains sidewalks, walls, roads, driveways, and pedestrian pathways.Installs and repairs door hardware.Must be available on an “On Call” basis.Knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and able to learn and use institutional software systems.Complies with all State and University policies.Other duties may be assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities : NoneQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
