Reporting to the Vice President, Global Dining Business Enablement, the Manager, Business Operations will be instrumental in driving core initiatives and governance processes that strengthen operational discipline and readiness across the Global Dining organization. This individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Global Dining (inclusive of Resy, Tock, Rooam, and integrated partners) maintains a strong control environment, with a focus on audit readiness, risk mitigation, and process improvement.
This person will collaborate cross-functionally with American Express stakeholders in Product, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, Privacy, Servicing, and Marketing to guide the business through rigorous control, compliance, and operational excellence standards. A successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional program management capabilities, strategic thinking, and the ability to operationalize and scale complex business initiatives with a governance-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as program manager across key initiatives that support the operational scalability and governance maturity of the Global Dining business.
- Drive end-to-end ownership of audit readiness activities, including evidence collection, control testing coordination, and stakeholder alignment to support internal and external reviews.
- Lead the ongoing development, execution, and enhancement of Process Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) across critical Global Dining processes.
- Manage issue identification, root cause analysis, corrective action planning, and implementation tracking in partnership with risk SMEs and second-line teams.
- Support the development and refinement of business processes, ensuring alignment with compliance standards and operational excellence frameworks.
- Serve as the central business point of contact to guide initiatives through compliance, control management, and other required governance and approval flows.
- Create clear process documentation, including process flows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operational toolkits to drive consistency and scalability.
- Anticipate and proactively mitigate delivery risks and reengineer processes to accelerate speed to market without compromising control integrity.
Qualifications:
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to work with business partners across different functions and with colleagues at all levels
- Demonstrated strategic, critical, and creative thinking to problem-solve obstacles and develop winning solutions, particularly in areas of understanding compliance, risk management, and operational excellence principles
- Ability to deliver results against timelines, prioritize, and implement processes
- Excellent program management skills to lead end-to-end partnership delivery across several key verticals simultaneously – product development, engineering & technology, marketing, operational excellence, servicing, legal, compliance, information security, etc.
- Self-starter that can excel in a dynamic environment by driving decision-making and adapting to change
- Passion for restaurants and desire to work on dining landscape
- Bachelor's Degree required
Salary Range: $103,750.00 to $174,750.00 annually + bonus + benefits
