Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Manager of Compliance Monitoring to support and execute the firm’s ongoing compliance monitoring activities designed to assess adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and compliance standards. This role plays a critical part in identifying emerging risks, providing continuous oversight, and strengthening the firm’s overall compliance risk management framework.
The Manager will report to the Director of Compliance Monitoring and work closely with business units, Compliance Testing, Risk, and Governance teams to provide effective challenges, promote accountability, and help ensure sustainable compliance across products, services, and operational processes.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution and continuous enhancement of the compliance monitoring framework and coverage strategy, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations, enterprise priorities, and risk appetite.
- Lead the implementation and execution of monitoring routines across business lines to evaluate adherence to regulatory obligations, internal policies, and control requirements.
- Partner with Compliance Officers and business stakeholders to assess the effectiveness of first-line regulatory adherence through monitoring activities; identify, escalate, and track deficiencies through remediation.
- Analyze monitoring results, trends, key risk indicators (KRIs), and management information to identify emerging risks, thematic concerns, and potential systemic issues.
- Ensure monitoring activities, results, and supporting documentation are maintained in a clear, consistent, and examination-ready manner to support regulatory inquiries and internal governance reviews.
- Prepare and deliver reporting and insights on monitoring outcomes, thematic findings, and risk trends to senior leadership and governance forums.
- Collaborate with Compliance Testing, Risk Management, Audit, and Governance teams to promote consistency in oversight activities and reduce duplication across compliance assurance functions.
- Drive continuous improvement in monitoring methodologies, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiencies through use of data analytics, automation, and process optimization.
- Build strong partnerships across the organization to effectively influence stakeholders, provide credible challenges, and support proactive risk management practices.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of compliance, risk, or audit experience in financial services; demonstrated expertise in compliance monitoring and oversight.
- Minimum Academic Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred, not required.
- Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of compliance risk management frameworks, monitoring methodologies, and regulatory expectations.
- Strong leadership and organizational capabilities to manage a global monitoring program.
- Professional experience in handling policy governance objectives.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with people at all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance business objectives with regulatory requirements.
- Excellent project management and organizational skill, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to both work independently and collaboratively with team-members and to navigate a complex organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for preparing and delivering reports, presentations, and policy documents.
- Experience in delivering high-quality work products, reflecting attention to detail.
- Must be a self-starter flexible, innovative, and adaptive.
- Advanced analytics, PowerPoint and excel skills with an ability to learn new tools quickly.

The below represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
Salary range
- $89,250 - $150,250 per year
