Membership Portfolio Services, within our US Consumer Services Business, is responsible for developing and scaling several growing businesses that are strategically important to American Express. We are developing unique and differentiated ways to strengthen the Membership Model by connecting Card Members with Merchants that create opportunities to help drive our growth over the mid-to-long term.

We are seeking a Manager Product Development – Reporting & Data Visualization, who will manage the Global Offers Marketing Measurement and Insights Digital Product. As a core member of a digital product team, you will be responsible for enabling digital experiences across various channels (tableau dashboard, web dashboard, e-mail) for internal and external users of this data insights product. In addition, you will lead the development of the reporting strategy for the team and its platforms including operational, program-level, and usage reporting. You will have the opportunity to conduct deep data analysis by using large datasets and find the most effective way to visualize and design the presentation of core metrics and insights.

This role is part of the Amex Offers Digital Media Product team. We provide the technical capabilities to enable sourcing, setup, targeting, fulfilment, and measurement of Amex Offers campaigns. Our platforms are part of the Digital Offers Ecosystem; a collection of teams and capabilities that are responsible for the end-to-end implementation of Amex Offers.

Responsibilities:

  • Set vision, strategy and priorities for merchant insights products, including reporting suite for internal colleagues as well as merchants
  • Research and understand colleague and customer needs to inform data strategy, requirements and product roadmap
  • Setting a strategic vision & tone by assessing business needs, developing relevant analytical solutions, researching new methods as needed, and applying best practices across markets
  • Closely partnering with Technologies in an Agile product development environment
  • Sustaining a close partnership with AODM Business, Product, and Operations teams globally. Educating and influencing marketers, product owners, platform owners, and channel owners to ensure our data, methods, products, and insights are adopted and of the highest integrity
  • Identifying opportunities to standardize and productize our analytic offerings, and product-managing existing insights products through continuous feature enhancements
  • Establishing prioritization principles and managing a reporting & analytics engagement pipeline & operational model for a variety of customers
  • Seeking & actioning customer feedback to continue enhancing our core focus and the processes for delivering them
  • Define and monitor product metrics and KPIs

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of product management in insights products & data analytics experience, along with merchant business and data experience
  • Expertise with business insights platforms such as Tableau, Sisense and Microstrategy is required.
  • A passion for data visualization & intuitive information display; effective communication of dense and/or highly numeric content in a simple and straightforward manner
  • Thoughtful, hands-on application of a variety of analytical approaches, delivery of clear & powerful insights and recommendations for partners, and keen attention to details
  • Direct experience in marketing campaign measurement: knowledge of multi-channel marketing including digital, mobile, direct mail, email, above-the-line, and multi-merchant marketing
  • Deep working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform or similar Cloud Big Data environment is needed, along with building products that provide self-service capabilities to access and comprehend complex data and insights
  • Comfort with multiple programming languages such as Hive, SQL, Python and the ability to provide technical advice to the team
  • Skillful communication and consistent success building strong relationships, credibility, and influence at multiple band levels and across different functional teams
  • Aptitude for user experience and technology with the ability to speak fluently across analytics, design and engineering

Salary Range: $103,750.00 to $174,750.00 annually + bonus + benefits
