This role manages restaurant maintenance across a designated region, overseeing work distribution, budgets, capital funds, and project planning. Responsible for ensuring timely preventative and corrective maintenance of restaurant equipment, buildings, and grounds, the position leads a team of technicians and provides operational tools and financial insights to support restaurant profitability and business success.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned facilities, including maintenance, repairs, improvements, and emergency requests for 24/7 restaurant operations.
  • Oversee work distribution, preventative and predictive maintenance programs, and inventory of parts and supplies.
  • Direct special projects, new restaurant construction, renovations, and landscape initiatives.
  • Supervise and train maintenance staff, including hiring, performance evaluation, and ongoing development.
  • Manage third-party contractors and vendor performance, ensuring quality, compliance, and responsiveness.
  • Monitor budgets, capital expenditures, and costs associated with facilities and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with fire, safety, and regulatory inspections, and act as liaison with local agencies.
  • Provide guidance on technical troubleshooting and support for on-site technicians.
  • Advise management on resources, productivity improvements, and operational efficiencies.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, with college hours in technical-related courses preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required

Experience:

  • 6+ years’ experience preferably in restaurant industry

Key Skills:

  • Provide technical guidance on maintenance issues and mechanical malfunctions.
  • Develop team capabilities to manage costs, capital funds, and project execution.
  • Analyze and apply technology to improve operations and leverage new tools.
  • Lead, influence, and motivate staff while fostering teamwork.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Visio, and JD Edwards (as applicable).
  • Strong understanding of departmental policies, budgeting, and project delegation.
  • Prepare and present recommendations effectively to colleagues, managers, and direct reports
