- Define and control production processes; including sequence of operations, workflow and detailed methodology of complex assemblies and installations.
- Development of detailed work instructions and procedures for existing manufacturing processes.
- Provided recommendations for tooling and equipment required to manufacture products.
- Development of MBOMs and detailed work instructions General understanding of MRP planning as related to MBOM structure and development.
- Analyzes and interprets design specifications, drawings, documentation, models, and/or test results as they apply to manufacturing.
- Understanding of design release activities and engineering changes and their effect on the MBOM.
- Liaison between engineering and manufacturing facility
- Documents procedures, process qualifications, etc.
- Collaborates across the organization and with production, quality, senior leaders on major projects.
- General understanding of Teamcenter and MRP planning
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information and maintain confidentiality.
- Positive attitude and flexible approach to work
- Ability to work as a contributing member of multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience with defense contracts and DCMA audits preferred
- Solid knowledge with technical standards, manufacturing engineering concepts, principles, and theories
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently in a self-motivated environment
- Ability to review designs in a CAD system, including interrogating models and drawings
- Computer skills with Window-based PC systems & applicable software (Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.)
- Familiarity with US Defense contracts and requirements preferred
- Considerable knowledge of manufacturing capabilities is required, and previous plant experience is preferred
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand for long periods
