Position Summary, Marketing and Graphic Design Intern
The Marketing Graphic Design Intern at NY Creates will work closely with our marketing and design leads and gain hands-on experience in various aspects of marketing and graphic design, and how they work together. This internship will provide valuable insights into the design industry and help to develop skills in a professional setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in creating visually appealing content for print and digital media, including brochures, posters, social media graphics, and website visuals.
- Support the development of branding materials such as logos, business cards, and letterheads.
- Utilize design software (Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) to create and edit graphics.
- Design and develop creative concepts for company merchandise, including apparel, promotional items, and branded accessories, ensuring alignment with the company's brand identity and marketing goals.
- Collaborate with MarComm team and other departments to understand project requirements and deliverables.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas.
- Conduct research on current design trends and best practices to inform design decisions.
- Assist in preparing presentations and mockups for meetings.
- Proofread and review designs for accuracy and consistency.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications, Marketing and Graphic Design Intern
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications, marketing and Graphic Design Intern
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong creative and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check; this position may require annual background checks.
