Job Summary

The UK Counseling Center is housed within the Student Well-Being Area of the Office for Student Success and is seeking a frontline therapist to provide student-centered direct clinical services. Working as part of the larger counseling center team, this clinician will provide individual and group therapy to students across a range of issues, concerns, and goals. An ideal candidate will be a motivated team player and committed to supporting academic success and overall student well-being. Additionally, this individual should be clinically well-versed in providing therapy to young adults with a range of backgrounds and presenting concerns. The ideal candidate is licensed for independent practice.

Student Success will, from the time of early college outreach to graduation and beyond, support students in living a life of meaning and purpose. From a student-centered framework, our practice will be grounded in peer-reviewed literature, national best practices, and data-informed decision making. Collaborating with the campus and community, Student Success will work through a holistic lens to support a community of learners in achieving success.





Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Our Counseling Center seeks individuals who are collaborative in nature, have strong communication skills, practice good self-care, maintain healthy boundaries, and possess the ability to manage a challenging workload while promoting a positive atmosphere and healthy relationships.
