Become a Business Transformation & Readiness Senior Advisor to help oversee NextGen’s multi-functional efforts with Fleet/Transportation Services, Corporate Real Estate, Joint Pole, and other SCE stakeholder groups. You will serve as the lead on implementation teams and the single point of contact for NextGen design workshops as well as be responsible for the development of tools, data readiness efforts, and processes needed to ensure a successful implementation of Initiation, Plan, Schedule, Execution, and Close (IPSEC) principles across these groups. This position is expected to be a subject matter expert in all aspects related to the Initiation, Planning, Scheduling, and Execution processes within the IPSEC model.

Position’s expected interactions:

  • Briefings and strategic discussions with Principal Managers and Directors with occasional interaction with VP and SVP.
  • Coordination, persuasion, and influence with Principal Managers, Directors, and all levels of leadership in SCE.
  • No direct reports but will influence all levels of the organization, including driving initiatives and specific work tasks for System Integrator and support staff.

Job Function/Disc Descriptions: Business Process Improvement

Lead functional and technical landscape solution design for one or more complex business process domains such as Finance, Human Capital Management – Time Management, Logistics, Supply Planning, Procurement, Asset Management, Work Management, etc.

Conduct thorough evaluations of existing business processes and procedures to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.

Develop and implement effective process improvement strategies, including process redesign, automation, and optimization.

Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure process improvements align with business goals and objectives.

Monitor and measure the effectiveness of process improvements to ensure they are achieving the desired outcomes.

Develop and deliver training materials to ensure employees are knowledgeable about process improvements and can optimally utilize new tools and systems.

The Essentials

  • Ten or more years of experience advising and recommending courses of action on process improvements, operational plans, or business strategy.
  • Five or more years of experience facilitating workshops with various functional teams and end user stakeholders.

The Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or other related fields.
  • Experience and expert-level knowledge of T&D Asset/Work Management, Joint Pole, Transportation Services, or Corporate Real Estate functions in relation to the IPSEC operating model.
  • Experience with SAP ECC or S/4 HANA workflows, functionality and/or processes in a utility setting.
  • Experience working in Engineering, Advanced Analytics, Asset Management, Business Planning, or Project Management.
  • Experience leading teamwork workshops to design process improvements and implement changes.

You should know

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California.
