SUMMARY:

Operate the NFC NIPR Caf during the hours assigned under the supervision of the NFC IT Section Lead, ensuring the continuous operation of the computers, monitors and printers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate the NFC NIPR Caf during the hours assigned under the supervision of the NFC IT Section Lead, ensuring the continuous operation of the computers, monitors and printers.

Identify malfunctions to the NIPR Caf equipment, resolve issues if possible, and report all malfunctions to the IT Section immediately.

Provide first-rate customer service to the users of the NIPR Caf.

Maintain a log of all NIPR Caf Users and enforce the rules for using the NIPR Caf.

Ensure the accountability of the equipment in the NIPR Caf, conducting an inventory daily, and reporting any discrepancies.

Ensure the neatness, cleanliness, and professional appearance of the NIPR Caf always.

Perform basic clean-up, sweeping, and taking out trash daily.

Assist the NFC IT Section Lead with other tasks as assigned.

Non-standard hours and weekend work will be required.

Adherence to all TLC Policies accessed through Deltek Costpoint via the following path.

This position supports the DOD on a federal installation and the candidate must be available to work at the assigned physical location during business hours.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Essential:

Basic proficiency at Computer and Network operations

Proficiency using Microsoft Office and Outlook

Must be able to obtain/maintain Common Access Card and Fort Cavazos NIPR Account

Must be able to prioritize work, complete multiple tasks, and work under deadlines.

Valid Drivers License and ability to maintain post driving privileges.

Preferred:

Prior work with military/government preferred.

Familiarity with military acronyms and terminology preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, comprehend and explain instructions, letters, memos, emails, and correspondence from inside the organization as well as from external sources. Ability to effectively respond, communicate and present information to customers, internal and external, clients and other employees in the organization. Ability to interpret instructions and information and explain to others in the performance of this job in English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to stand for long periods of time, stoop down and lift and carry more than 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must possess visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone; and the manual dexterity to operate computer.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/HOURS:

This position is not eligible for remote work, as the essential functions of the role require the employee to perform duties on-site.

Work performed indoors. No travel requirements. Will work 40 hours work week with a possibility to work weekends and/or holidays if mission/operations require. This position supports the DOD on a federal installation and the candidate must be available to work at the assigned physical location during business hours.

EXPECTATIONS:

Transportation & Access: You must have reliable transportation to and from work and be able to access military installations.

Background & Drug Screening: Employment requires passing a background check and pre-employment drug screening. Random drug and alcohol testing may also occur without prior notice.

Timesheets: Record your actual work hours daily and ensure your entries are accurate and timely to support smooth operations.

Dress & Punctuality: Arrive on time and dress appropriately for your shift.

BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS:

All employees are required to undergo an initial background investigation as a condition of employment. Additionally, employees may be subject to subsequent background investigations if circumstances warrant, such as the emergence of a need, an issue, or probable cause.

Employees assigned to work on federal installations or projects must also comply with government-mandated background investigations, which are conducted independently of the company's investigations. Employment and continued assignment to federal installations are contingent upon successfully meeting and maintaining these requirements.
