Position Purpose
Demonstrate leadership in all aspect of the Parts Department and the broader business. Drive the team toward excellence in managing parts inventory and driving parts revenue.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
- Lead and manage all business and/or department activities related to ensuring the customer experience is positive and that all team members are committed to the Core Values and Core Purpose.
- Coach and mentor Parts Department employees with regards to efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
- Ensure quick and absolute resolution on any operational challenges that jeopardize our customer relationships.
- Manage the proper process regarding the ordering, distribution, and receipting of parts.
- Oversee the accurate recording of parts transactions and the leading and developing of each parts team member.
- Developing sales pipelines at both locations to grow the parts business accordingly.
- Maintain a professional and clean retail area to elevate our Customer Experience.
- Partner successfully with the Service and Sales Teams and JCB Inc’s Parts Support team
- Foster an engaged work environment, encouraging accountability, open communication, teamwork, and a commitment to serving the customer.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Dealer Principal in a professional and efficient manner.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies
- Previous management experience
- Industry and/or retail parts experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to perform multiple tasks while maintaining a sense of urgency.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills – ability to think outside the box
- Strong interpersonal and team working skills
- Excellent oral and written communication with an emphasis on phone skills
- Ability to take direction well and work with minimal supervision
- College degree preferred but not required with commiserate industry experience
