Responsibilities
Job Summary
Howmet Aerospace has an immediate opening for a Tooling Manufacturing Engineer in our Tooling Business Center at our Engines Products – Tempcraft Operations located 3960 South Marginal Road, Cleveland, OH.This position is responsible for leading and coordinating all new product introduction activities from design through manufacturing for tooling used in the production of engine components.
Howmet Engines is a world-class producer of aero engine and industrial gas turbine components, including airfoils, rings, disks and forgings. We excel in vacuum melted superalloys, machining, performance coatings and hot isostatic pressing for high performance parts that enable the next generation of quieter, more fuel-efficient aero engines and cleaner power generation.
Job Requirements
NPI Leader
Collaborates with the customer’s designers and engineers to develop product designs that are manufacturable with reliability in Howmet processes.
Working closely with tool and die makers to develop manufacturing plans that ensure efficient production and high-quality tool production
Tracking NPI jobs through manufacturing to resolve any issues that arise during production
Developing new manufacturing technology in support of process and product improvement
Ensuring that processes meet all Howmet Safety standards for both operation and product reliability
Supporting operations with design, and programming for production jobs when there is time available
Flexibility for occasional (<15% of time) travel for training or support of operations in other Howmet facilities

Job Specifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited institution
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years experience in manufacturing
- Airfoil casting or tooling design experience
Due to ITAR restrictions, applicants must be US citizens or have permanent resident status.
Salary Range: $68-98,000 salary approximation (actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, and/or location).
