Physical Requirements

The physical requirements of this position include lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to and exceeding 50 lbs; risk of injury from handling equipment and materials; exposure to radiation and bloodborne/airborne pathogens; and risk of cuts/punctures.



Shift

Primarily Monday – Friday, day shift; will include call.



Job Summary

Primary focus for this position will be Cardiac Nuclear services, but will also serve as a back-up for general and PET/CT nuclear services. The person in this position is required to meet all Job Responsibilities of a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, as well as additional duties in a peer leadership capacity to facilitate operations. Leadership duties include, performing QA; directing resources throughout the day; ensuring compliance for policies and procedures in daily operations; working with operations to implement process changes, quality improvement initiatives and accreditation processes; serving as a resource for faculty and research coordinators across the enterprise spectrum to support nuclear medicine services; and other duties as assigned.

Knowledge of Cardiology and General Nuclear Medicine; teamwork, leading through change, leadership skills, critical thinking, time management, attention to detail, high-touch patient experience, maintain composure in high stress environment, excellent communicator, flexible, ability to work in a teaching environment, managing competing priorities, and radiation safety.
