Physical Requirements

The physical requirements for this position include regularly sitting, standing, walking, with some pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects weighing up to 10lbs and occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects up to 50lbs.

Shift

Monday – Friday, Day Shift; primarily 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (40 hrs/wk); other hours/schedule as needed

Job Summary

The Good Sam Professional Arts Center Specialty Care Clinic (SCC) is a multidisciplinary ambulatory clinic. This position is for a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to support expanding subspecialty hematology and oncology patient office appointments in this location. (No chemo infusion will take place in this space, however, some clinic administered medications will be required)

The Nurse Clinical Ambulatory provides disease-specific patient care to patients with serious acute and/or chronic health events or seeking healthcare to maintain their wellness. The position’s responsibilities include but are not limited to, skilled assessments, care plans and care plan implementation, patient education, and clinical evaluation or interventions. This position requires working with medical professionals under time and efficiency constraints in a busy ambulatory care setting with a patient-centered care focus on quality, safety, and service. A working knowledge of enterprise, nursing, departmental policies, protocols, and procedures is needed to be successful.

Basic computer knowledge, MS Windows, Word, Outlook

  • Experience caring for oncology or hematology patients
  • Experience in ambulatory or specialty clinic settings
  • Strong clinical judgment, organization, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex patient populations in a fast-paced environment

ADN or BSN with 2 years nursing experience in Oncology, Hematology, or Ambulatory care experience preferred
