Also involves some risk of injury from moving, lifting or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; and exposure to loud noises, radiation, cuts/punctures, hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, blood-borne or airborne pathogens, recombinant DNA or viral vectors, and combative/violent people. Some job-related travel (less than 10% of time) may be required.ShiftPrimarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; also requires Saturday shift rotation every fifth week.Job SummaryThe Nurse Clinician Senior – UKHC will serve as a wound/ostomy nurse for UK Health Care. In this position, the ideal candidate will be prepared to assess and document a patient’s skin integrity to develop a prevention/treatment plan. Once developed, this person will also be able to adequately communicate the plan and treatment to patients and staff members. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, a friendly caring attitude, and the ability to communicate effectively and professionally to others. This position requires Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (CWOCN) certification within 24 months of hire.Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesKnowledge of wound and ostomy essential to this position.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
