Job Summary
Owensboro Community and Technical College is hiring a full-time nursing instructor. The candidate should demonstrate a strong commitment to student success and team building. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate nursing courses in the classroom, lab and clinical settings, advising students, other institutional service, and professional development.
* Two weeks off during Christmas and New Year’s * Summers off * Overload courses available with extra pay as needed * Free tuition towards MSN for those with BSN * 22 vacation days per year.
Job Duties:
• Classroom, clinical, and campus laboratory instruction in undergraduate nursing courses
• Team teaching and curriculum development

• Department and College committee assignments

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with expectation to earn Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) within 5 years of hire. OCTC will pay for MSN tuition at an approved college/university per MOU agreement.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) within the past 5 years.
• Unencumbered, active licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Commonwealth of Kentucky or another state in the Nurse Licensure Compact required.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Preferred Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and/or Certified Nurse Educator (CNE).
