Rancher is a complete open-source software stack for teams adopting containers. It addresses the operations and security challenges of managing multiple Kubernetes clusters at scale, while providing DevOps teams with integrated tools for running containerized workloads.
RGS supports all Rancher products with U.S. based American citizen with the highest security clearances who are currently supporting programs across the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and civilian agencies.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Operations Automation & DevSecOps Intern will serve as the primary implementation resource for RGS’s internal automation engine. Reporting to the Operations DevSecOps Engineer, this role will assist in the R&D, deployment, and maintenance of n8n workflows hosted on GCP. You will integrate Salesforce, Google Workspace, and Vertex AI to build agentic operations that harden and accelerate internal business functions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Workflow Implementation: Build and test automated nodes in n8n based on the architectural designs provided by the DevSecOps Engineer.
- Agentic AI Orchestration: Develop and refine "System Instructions" for Gemini/Vertex AI to create autonomous agents capable of reasoning through Government-specific documents and transcripts.
- CI/CD & Version Control: Maintain the "code-base" for workflows using Git, ensuring that every automation is versioned and recoverable.
- Infrastructure Support: Assist in monitoring the health and performance of the n8n containerized environment on GCP (Cloud Run/GKE).
- API Management: Research and document the REST API endpoints for GWS and Salesforce to expand the reach of the "RGS Automation Engine."
- Security Auditing: Conduct weekly logs reviews to ensure no sensitive PII or FOCI-restricted data is being mishandled by automated triggers.
- Validation & Error Handling: Implement robust "Try/Catch" logic and alerting systems within n8n to ensure automation reliability and data integrity.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Technical Foundation: Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
