About the Role:
The Operations Business Analyst plays a key role in shaping how JSX understands and improves operational performance. This role is responsible for designing and delivering KPI reporting, analyzing operational trends, and providing leadership with actionable insights that support decision-making across multiple operational teams.
You will go beyond standard reporting—diving into large data sets, identifying trends, and uncovering opportunities that directly impact operational efficiency, performance, and financial outcomes.
This role is based in Dallas, TX and requires on‑site work 4 days per week.
A Day in the Life:
Your day will be analytical and insight-driven, focused on building reporting, uncovering trends, and translating complex operational data into meaningful business insights. Additional responsibilities include:
  • Develop reporting mechanisms and dashboards for operational KPI tracking
  • Analyze operational trends to identify opportunities and quantify the impact of decisions
  • Partner with IT and business units to establish best practices for data reporting and KPI measurement
  • Ensure data integrity across operational platforms and reporting systems
  • Examine data from a multidimensional perspective to uncover meaningful insights
  • Utilize Excel, pivot tables, and presentation tools to communicate findings clearly
  • Perform advanced analysis using Power BI, SQL, or similar tools to deliver actionable insights
  • Incorporate AI tools and methodologies into analysis and reporting processes
  • Support ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests across Operations teams

  • Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Business, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in data analytics, business analytics, or data visualization
  • Demonstrated project discipline and analytical problem-solving ability
  • Ability to translate complex data into understandable insights

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, SQL, or MySQL
  • Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools
  • Background in aviation or operational environments
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Experience working independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Exposure to senior leadership reporting and presentations

  • Pay & Perks:
    Compensation is $65,000 - $70,000 annually. This was established after performing market research and is aligned with our approach to compensation.
