Become an Operations Scoping & Planning, Sr Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll play a key part in strengthening partnerships and aligning strategies with System Planning & Engineering. Your responsibilities will include managing the development of annual scope planning across multiple inspection programs for regulatory compliance and supporting major initiatives directly aligned with Wildfire Mitigation Plan (WMP) and corporate goals. Your main duties will involve assessing inspection program requirements, capacity planning, resource scheduling, contract management, budget oversight, and working closely with Procurement and other stakeholders to drive operational excellence. You’ll use data-driven methods, conduct trend analysis, improve processes, and manage stakeholders to maximize resource efficiency and budget as well as meet changing organizational needs. Additionally, you’ll offer expert guidance to enhance inspection programs and further the company’s safety and sustainability goals. Responsibilities
- Drives the delivery of analytical support to the enterprise, optimizing the collection, analysis and reporting of data, which enables successful completion of key business operations projects
- Acts as a key consultant to stakeholders, presenting complex analytical findings and making recommendations as to their impact on business operations
- Creates and monitors performance dashboards to track and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in order to optimize process improvement activities, and support portfolio operations in developing performance metrics
- Evaluates business operations processes and recommends actions to increase efficiency and productivity while reducing costs
- Performs analyses and evaluates business operational risk requirements, identifying suitable risk mitigations and communicating them to leadership
- Meets with stakeholders to identify their projects' specifics requirements, recommends applicable tools, and provides periodic updates through to project completion
- Optimizes the development of business plan scenarios to evaluate different priorities and potential options to achieving the enterprise's objectives
- Works with business planning and performance management teams to develop option sets to meet business planning scenarios considering financial, operational, and regulatory risks and constraints
- Trains newly hired analysts on various aspects of the job they will be undertaking through mentorship
- Drives the validation of established processes to ensure alignment with relevant rules, principles, laws, and industry standards with the goal to safeguard assets, minimize errors, and ensure operational activities are performed to mitigate risk
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ten or more years of experience performing business operations analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience in resource plan development, scheduling, and work management.
- Effectively facilitates communication within the organization to build collaborative partnerships, evaluate plan feasibility, deliver updates on short-term resource allocations, and guide strategic discussions.
- Experienced in conducting data quality analyses and performing spot checks to ensure information integrity and must be detail oriented to successfully carry out quality analysis.
- Demonstrated experience in managing contracts and overseeing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), with a strong ability to evaluate technical solutions, conduct comprehensive risk analyses, and assess cost-benefit variables to guide informed business decisions.
- Demonstrates expertise in partnering with leaders at all levels to accomplish corporate objectives, with a proven history of successful collaboration with management and cross-functional teams.
- Possesses extensive project management experience on large-scale initiatives, including leadership of cross-functional teams, budget oversight, and delivery of project milestones within established timelines.
- Expertise in creating communication materials (such as PowerPoint presentations) and facilitating decision-making discussions with senior executives.
- Experience with SAP, Design Manager, Power BI, and other performance management dashboards.
- Adept at handling and reviewing extensive geospatial and non-spatial datasets.
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

Salary range
- $157,800 - $236,700 per year
