We currently have availability for the Fall 2025 semester for in-person courses including Personal Financial Planning and Financial Management; however, a couple of classes are taught online on Friday class besides Monday and Wednesday in person. Qualified candidates may teach between one and three courses. We anticipate available courses in the Spring 2026 semester as well. Courses typically have 25 students each. The Department of Accounting and Finance seeks applicants with a passion for active learning and high-impact practices. Teachers in our department are responsible for providing students with quality, up-to-date learning experiences. Part-time faculty will have access to a private workspace, access to a campus computer, access to other passionate faculty eager to discuss teaching practices and provide mentorship, and access to all departmental events.Duties and Responsibilities:Duties include but not limited to:Essential:• Course preparation• Preparation for all in-person classes• Instruction incorporating active modalities• Assessment of student performance• Availability to students for office hoursJob Requirements:Required Qualifications:• Master's degree in Finance or a related field• Excellent written and oral communications skills• Willingness to engage with our learning management system (Brightspace)• A passion for implementing a variety of teaching and assessment strategiesAdditional Information:Salary:Salaries for current Westfield State University employees and individuals currently working for the state of Massachusetts must be calculated individually in accordance with collective bargaining agreements as well as state policies.
