Position Overview
The Patient Care Assistant plays a vital role in supporting providers and ensuring a smooth, positive experience for patients. This position involves direct patient interaction and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist patients during visits, including rooming and preparation.
- Accurately take and record vital signs.
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms to meet cleanliness and safety standards.
- Support providers with procedures and patient documentation.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and address patient questions promptly.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) a plus.
