Physical Requirements

This position requires intermittent sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); intermittent standing or walking with objects weighing up to 10 pounds; occasional standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; and occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Job Summary

The Patient Financial Services Representative Senior performs daily reconciliation of Enterprise-wide bank deposits to cash posted in the electronic health record, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of posting and resolving any discrepancies. Submits new enrollment for payer electronic remittance advice with various clearinghouses and maintains enrollments to ensure all remittances are received electronically as available through clearinghouses or payer portals. Coordinates initiatives to develop standard work, training resources, and routine reviews that elevate quality and compliance.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

The ideal candidate will be customer service oriented; possess in-depth HIPAA knowledge; have the ability to multi-task with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail; proficient in Microsoft Office, to include Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; excellent communication skills (both written and verbal); solid time management, critical thinking, follow-through, and planning and organizational skills are all critical to the success in this position and a high level of respect for confidentiality is a must.

Preferred Education/Experience

Associates degree and 3-4 years of accounting, insurance claims and billing, medical office and/or clerical work preferred. Previous experience working with patient accounts/HIPAA, billing and EPIC experience highly preferred.
