Shift

Primarily Monday – Friday. Start times vary between 7:00am – 8:00 am.



Job Summary

The Patient Financial Services Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the daily operations of the Follow-up Team staff by providing workflow management, assessing organizational structure, processes and tools, and work productivity and standards. This position will establish goals and objectives for the staff and promote Patient Financial Services initiatives. The Supervisor will also manage staffing needs by interviewing and selecting best-fit candidates; complete time-keeping functions; lead through appropriate training, coaching, and corrective action; and serve as the next level of escalation for accounts worked by staff.

This is a remote position.



Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

The ideal candidate will possess experience with billing; collections; managed care contracts; insurance verification programs; have knowledge of Revenue Cycle process; have the ability to analyze and interpret payer contracts; knowledge of medical, financial, and contractual terminology; knowledge of claim audits; knowledge of ICD, HCPCS, and CPT coding preferred; be customer service oriented; possess in-depth HIPAA knowledge; have the ability to lead and direct others toward goal setting and attainment, taking into account divergent demands while managing scope and timelines; be well organized with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail; proficient in Microsoft Office, to include Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; excellent communication skills (both written and verbal); solid time management, critical thinking, follow-through, and planning and organizational skills are all critical to the success in this position; and a thorough understanding of resource and employee management. A high level of respect for confidentiality is a must.

Preferred Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of accounting, health insurance, managed care contracts, and medical claims experience preferred; previous experience working in a healthcare revenue cycle operation highly preferred.
