Physical Requirements

In this role, you’ll lead and manage resources, build strong relationships with a variety of people, and keep things running smoothly in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. You’ll follow University guidelines, protect confidential information, represent UK HealthCare positively, and work both independently and with a team. You’ll also collaborate directly with providers in the TeleCare suite and move between offices to check the EHR and help manage patient medical records. Some travel for meetings or training may be required



Shift

Primarily Monday- Friday 8 am-5pm with additional hours per department need.

Job Summary

The Patient Liaison for the TeleCare Program at UK HealthCare plays a key role in expanding and optimizing telehealth services across departments and divisions. This position is responsible for increasing awareness of telehealth offerings, developing new clinical telemedicine activities, and marketing services to rural providers and patient populations.

The liaison serves as a central point for validating and clarifying stakeholder requests and concerns, ensuring prompt resolution of issues that may impact service delivery. This role leads clinical telehealth projects, supports the growth of telemedicine clinics with consistent clinical activity, and ensures patients are appropriately scheduled, registered, and billed in accordance with University policies.

Additional responsibilities include managing the flow of medical records within the TeleCare department, participating in contract negotiations and oversight, and developing and maintaining clinical policies, procedures, and documentation aligned with departmental and University standards. The Patient Liaison collaborates closely with providers to enhance clinic efficiency and ensures all TeleCare activities support the broader goals and objectives of UK HealthCare.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the processes required to operate a clinic; have listening, creativity, public speaking and networking skills; high attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

BSN and 5+ years’ experience in an outpatient setting
OR

BSN and 3+ years’ experience in an outpatient setting AND 3+ years’ experience in an inpatient setting
