This position acts as a contact for patients, visitors, vendors, and the community at large accessing services of the College of Dentistry via telephone contact, face-to-face encounters, and daily appointments. Welcomes all patients/family members/others to clinic in a friendly manner. This position is responsible for the check in registration of patients. Duties include obtaining demographics, verification of coverage and annual documentation of forms as required as well as scheduling of appointments. The successful candidate will maximize patients’ financial coverage through proper registration and verification of benefits. Collect co-pays and amounts due at time of service. Answer basic insurance coverage questions. Process and maintain registration information in the electronic health record. Screens and directs incoming calls.
