Job Description
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety, the Coordinator plays a crucial role in driving continuous quality improvement. They collaborate with service line leaders to develop scorecards, analyze performance metrics, and implement action plans to enhance outcomes. This role is key to advancing service line goals and organizational strategic objectives.Responsibilities
- Collaborate with quality and service line leaders to develop scorecards aligned with organizational goals.
- Analyze performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and implement action plans.
- Partner with service line business leaders to support operational aspects of improvement initiatives.
- Ensure FPPE and OPPE processes are coordinated with the Medical Staff Office and Chairs for reappointment recommendations.
- Assist with peer review activities, including for-cause FPPE, and maintain meeting minutes.
- Support the Quality Department in regulatory and accreditation preparation, including accompanying inspectors.
- Develop familiarity with assigned roles during regulatory visits and assist with medical chart navigation.
- Maintain a strong emphasis on process redesign and data measurement for improved outcomes.
- Foster a culture of continuous quality improvement within designated service lines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field (required), Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of direct patient care or equivalent experience with strong healthcare knowledge (required).
- Experience in healthcare quality data analysis and clinical applications (preferred).
- Current healthcare professional licensure, e.g., New Jersey Registered Nurse (required).
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality or Six Sigma Green Belt/Lean Certification (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft, Vizient, and other designated clinical applications (preferred).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with service line leaders and business partners.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying improvement opportunities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships and coordinating activities.
- Willingness to adapt and learn new skills, with a commitment to continuous professional development.
