Position Summary We are seeking a motivated, customer-service-oriented Licensed Pharmacist to join our high-volume pharmacy team. This is a PRN position designed to provide coverage as needed. Candidates should have a flexible schedule, with regular Saturday shifts. This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving, energetic clinic environment.
Essential Job Functions: Fulfill all clinical and retail pharmacy functions, ensuring drugs are dispensed safely, accurately, and in compliance with state and federal laws. Patient Care: Provide expert consultation to patients regarding prescription medications, non-prescription products, and medical devices. Operational Support: Assist with ordering products, inventory management, and supporting pharmacy initiatives to stimulate growth within the clinic and retail sectors. Compliance & Safety: Maintain effective controls against theft or diversion, ensure accurate record-keeping in the data processing system, and submit relevant information to the Controlled Substance Database in a timely manner. Team Leadership: Provide education and training to pharmacy technicians and interns; delegate tasks effectively to ensure smooth daily operations. Facility Management: Execute opening and closing procedures, including securing the facility and managing alarm codes. Customer Excellence: Respond to customer inquiries and resolve complaints with a professional, action-oriented approach.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy (R.Ph.) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting preferred. Technical Skills: Proficiency in basic compounding is required. Experience with PioneerRX pharmacy management software and independent retail operations is highly preferred. Licensure: Must hold a current, unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of Utah. Required Skills Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills. Proven ability to prioritize, organize, and manage workflows in a busy environment. Self-starter mentality with a "team player" attitude. Demonstrated ability to manage conflict and lead subordinates effectively. Flexibility to provide coverage for the Pharmacy Director as needed.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30-6:30 Saturday 9-1
Additional Notes: This is specifically for Saturday shifts, but also PRN shifts available.
