Required License/Registration/Certification
Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician by either PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT); Registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
Physical Requirements
This position requires use of a computer workstation, completion of tasks with repetitive motions, and occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds. This position may require personnel to wear personal protective equipment to reduce risk of exposure to work-related hazards (e.g. handling of hazardous medications).
Shift
Schedule varies, Monday through Friday, 7:30am – 5:00pm, working a rotating shift to equal 40 hours per week. Hours and days of the week are subject to change and may include weekend and holiday rotations.
Job Summary
This position will provide a variety of specialty pharmacy services including obtaining prior authorizations, enrolling patients in financial support programs, and coordinating infusion appointments for health care administered medications within UK HealthCare. You will work closely with nurses, physicians, and UK Specialty Pharmacy staff to improve access to medications for a variety of sub specialty disease states.

The starting pay for this position was recently adjusted. The minimum hourly rate for this position will now be $18.50/hour. All pay rates will be based on candidate’s experience.
