Required Related Experience

Required License/Registration/Certification

Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician by either PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT); Registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements

This position requires use of a computer workstation, completion of tasks with repetitive motions, and occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds. This position may require personnel to wear personal protective equipment to reduce risk of exposure to work-related hazards (e.g. handling of hazardous medications).

Shift

1st shift (7:00am – 7:00pm or 7:00am – 5:30pm) Wednesday through Tuesday; 7 days on/7 days off.

Job Summary

The Pharmacy Senior Technician assists pharmacists in providing medications to patients in an inpatient hospital setting by compounding complex sterile and non-sterile products and participating in the delivery of comprehensive pharmaceutical care withi This position is eligible for a recruitment bonus. The minimum hourly rate for this position will now be $18.50/hour. All pay rates will be based on candidate’s experience.
