Required License/Registration/Certification

Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician by either PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT); Registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements

This position requires intermittently sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time and performing tasks with repetitive motions; and occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; and lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds. Also involves some job-related travel (less than 10% of time); exposure to risk of injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; and exposure to hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, and blood-borne or airborne pathogens.

Shift

Primarily day shift, Monday through Friday; shifts/location to be discussed during interview and may change based on need of service area. Position may need to participate in an occasional holiday rotation for open locations.

Job Summary

Duties will include traditional Pharmacy Technician Sr. duties, plus the following additional requirements: access and training to the KADAP program website; performing mail-order duties to ensure proper packaging and shipping of KADAP prescriptions to patients across the state; assisting KADAP pharmacist with the management of phones, messages, patient files, reporting needs, and other tasks deemed necessary to ensure contract guidelines are met.

Hospital/retail pharmacy technician and/or healthcare customer service experience preferred.
