Position Summary: Revere Health is the largest independent multi-specialty physician group in Utah. We are looking for a motivated, customer service oriented Licensed Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team. In this role you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support accurate, safe, efficient, and cost effective pharmaceutical services for our patients and providers.
Essential Job Functions: • Patient & Provider Support: Help healthcare providers and patients by greeting them in person and by phone; answer questions and requests and refer clinical inquiries to the pharmacist. • Inventory Management: Support pharmacy operations by checking pharmaceutical stock levels, anticipating needed medications/supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt of shipments, and removing outdated drugs. • Prescription Preparation: Organize medications for the pharmacist to dispense by reading medication orders and prescriptions, preparing accurate labels, calculating quantities, and preparing other pharmaceutical therapies. • Compliance & Safety: Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy environment by complying with all procedures, rules, and regulations. • Infection Control: Protect patients and employees by strictly adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. • Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous records by recording and filing physician orders and prescriptions. • Fiscal Responsibility: Generate revenue by accurately calculating, recording, and issuing charges. • Medication Delivery: Ensure medication availability by delivering medications to patients and various departments as needed. • Administrative Support: Prepare reports by collecting and summarizing relevant information; contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed. • Clinical Tasks: Perform immunization administration for patients (note: this is a preferred skill and may not be a requirement in all cases).
Qualifications: • Licensure: Must hold a current, valid license to practice as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of practice. • Regulatory Knowledge: Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy, including the distribution of approved drugs, controlled substances, and investigational agents. • Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare setting or a high-volume customer service position is required. • Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills are essential; previous experience in retail customer service is highly preferred. • Technical Skills: Excellent computer skills and the ability to learn pharmacy-specific software quickly. • Language: Spanish speaking preferred.
Hours: Mon to Friday 8:30-6:30, Sat 9-1
